The Foundation for Idaho History works in partnership with the Idaho State Historical Society to preserve and promote Idaho’s cultural heritage.

The Foundation partnered with the Idaho State Historical Society in 2014 to create a $4.3 million fundraising initiative that would partially fund new state of the art exhibitions in the Idaho State Museum, which reopened to the public in October of 2018.

Find out how you can make a difference. Whether it's funding educational programming at the Old Idaho Penitentiary or Idaho State Museum, contributing to preservation efforts towards our collection of more than 50,000 artifacts, or sponsoring a new exhibit or gallery at an essential Idaho State Historical Society site, you can make history.

Weren't able to view the live event on October 14th? You can view the recording here.

This year the Foundation for Idaho History and the Idaho State Historical Society are raising funds to help restore the landscaping at the Territorial Assay Office, built in 1871, and current home to the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO).
