Considered the first park in Boise, the greenspace surrounding the Assay Office was created thanks to the generous donations of Boiseans and has been a serene gathering place for 150 years. This historic building and greenspace occupy an entire city block bordered by Main, 2nd, Idaho and 3rd streets in Boise.
Auction proceeds will allow us to also create an interpretive path around the perimeter of the grounds where visitors can learn about Idaho’s rich mining history, the work of the Historic Preservation Office, and how Idahoans, 150 years later, came together again to create a beautiful gift for the community to enjoy. Not only does this site remind us of our heritage, it gives us a place to connect with each other.
Be sure to register at WEA.AFROGS.ORG for event reminders and to bid on our fantastic auction items. The wine auction items close on Oct. 17 and the remaining items close Oct. 21. Don't miss out!
